The best way to memorize Spanish words is by using memory techniques. You will find all the memory techniques you need in my books as well as the software to practice these techniques. The edge that the link-word technique has is how a Spanish word is linked to an English word by using matching sounds between the words.

Let me give you an example on how to use these techniques.

English word = cabbage Spanish word = col

Try to picture a CABBAGE as it blooms beautifully into a COAL-colored vegetable.

A silly scenario, but it causes your mind to remember the words. It does not even have to be exact. Focus on the sounds created when pronouncing Spanish words, for it is the key to the link word technique.
